Guess what! The Pruetts have been gracing our screens for an entire year! Can you believe it? One year later, and they’re still going strong. And, yes…generation eight WILL be ending soon and very soon 🙂 I know…it’s been epic!
I have enjoyed writing this story so much; you have no idea. If you would have told me a year ago that I would have my own domain, almost 200 readers on WordPress, received two nominations for EA story of the month, and a few Liebster awards, I would have told you that you were plum crazy. I definitely would have thought you were crazy if you would have told me that I would have 4-5 stories going on at once and had several more ideas marinating. I didn’t set out to do all of this. I just wanted to try a legacy challenge! I knew I wouldn’t quit if I got other people involved, so I decided to make a story out of it and…voilà! Thus, I can never stop saying thank you to all of you crazy people out there who adore this story 🙂 I am grateful for the support I’ve received over the past year. Some of you have been around since the beginning, and some are just now joining in. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, thank you…from the bottom of my heart.
I have never written so consistently in my entire life, so this one year anniversary means so much more to me than just having a story go on for that long. It means one year of dedication, developing a habit, focus, growth, and creativity! I don’t do many things consistently, so I can’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate this achievement. I’ve often wondered if I could actually spend my days writing if/when I ever get to the point where I write for a living. Until this past year, I didn’t think I could because I was never consistent. Now I know that I absolutely can!
So, what are we doing? The original Pruett Family Legacy started on Tumblr on September 8. However, due to an unfortunate computer incident, that game was lost, and I had to start over. The story that you all read now began on September 15. I can’t decide which date I’d like to acknowledge, so we’re gonna do a week-long event! However, I don’t like starting things in the middle of a week, so next week (September 6 – 12) is going to be Pruett anniversary week! I am going to share some of my favorite moments from each generation–one generation per day! Seven days for seven generations. Some of the pictures you would have seen, and some you haven’t! I figured it would be nice to take a look back before we go forward with the beginning of generation nine: the last generation! Legacy challenges are over as soon as the 10th generation is born. I am both excited and sad about this, but the show must go on! I hope you enjoy this look into the past as we celebrate one of our favorite Sim families. Then, on the 15th, there will be a special chapter written by a few avid fans! I cannot wait for that. Do you love the Pruetts and want to participate in the special chapter? Check out the guidelines here. Have fun!
Yeah… Congratulations for your anniversary! i still haven’t cachted up, but i will! someday!

Congratulations! What an amazing accomplishments! How many chapters did you write this past year? How many words? LOL! And… what a great discover you’ve made that when you’ve got the passion and enthusiasm, the dedication and discipline follow. Amazing achievement. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible story and family with us! 🙂 (And I’m so excited for our big blogaversary party! 🙂 )
Congrats on hitting one year!! I started reading your stories about a week and half ago and I am almost caught up to your current stories!! You did a wonderful job, can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!

Congratulations!! I haven’t read all the wat in the beginning, yet, but Gen 8 has been amazing!
Thank you! You’re in luck! All this week I’m posting highlights of gens 1-7, so you’ll be able to sorta kinda tell what happened lol.
I just read the first sideshow! Great idea, now I can catch up!
Woo! Feel free to ask about the missing details in these. I know a lot of it won’t make sense unless you’ve actually read.
It will just motivate me to go read it lol
Sweeeeeet. 😀
I already want to know what happened with the two different girls
Oh, yeah. That was sad. Gen 1 is like 6 chapters, and they’re all pretty short. You could read it in like 30 minutes or less I bet.
I’ll check it out!
