Bob and Eliza Pancakes clearly are not original characters, but the personalities I have given them is original. My Eliza is very much one of a kind, heh. Besides, one of you lovely readers requested I do this with them, so how could I not?
Eliza’s personality comprises a few characters whose snootiness makes me laugh. She’s part Hyacinth Bucket, part Violet Crawley (the Dowager Countess of Grantham), part neat freak, part that one nosey neighbor we all know, and part that one girl in high school who controlled everything and really was a bully lol. Inside, however, she’s soft and insecure. She’s probably compensating for something. Anyway, enjoy Eliza!
- What is your name? Captain Eliza Pancakes
- Do you know why you were named that? I do not.
- Single or taken? I am married to Robert Pancakes.
- Stop being a Mary Sue! I beg your pardon?
- What’s your eye color? Green.
- How about hair color? Red.
- Have you any family members? Of course. Doesn’t everyone?
- Oh, how about pets? With twin toddlers, our house is already like a zoo.
- That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like? I do not like being left out of the loop.
- Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? My life does not lend itself to extracurricular activities. The work of a civil servant and mother are never done.
- Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? I’m afraid I may have hurt my Robert a time or two. You know what they say. It’s always the ones closest to you whom we hurt the most.
- Ever… killed anyone before? *narrows eyes* I am an enforcer of the law! If I find out anyone has killed anyone, they will answer to me!
- What kind of animal are you? I neither find humor nor amusement from these kinds of childish head games.
- Name your worst weaknesses. I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of weaknesses in my life, but given my employment, I do not deem it prudent for me to expose those types of details about my personal life.
- Do you look up to anyone at all? So many citizens look up to me. It’s a situation I wish to remain humbled by.
- Are you straight, gay or bisexual? I do believe I acknowledged the presence of a husband in my life…
- Do you go to school? I am past school age, though my daughter–Breanne–is doing quite well in school right now, if I may say so.
- Ever want to marry and have kids one day? Again, I am currently married with children.
- Do you have fangirls/fanboys? Oh yes. I do enjoy hearing “Captain Pancakes” coming from the mouths of young children when they see me.
- What are you most afraid of? Public humiliation.
- What do you usually wear? A smart appearance goes a long way.
- What’s one food that tempts you? My husband, Robert, is a chef, and I am tempted by all the wonderful things he makes.
- Am I annoying you? I am quite used to being questioned in this way.
- Well, it’s not over! Naturally…
- What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? Upper middle class.
- How many friends do you have? I find myself not concerned with the number of friends I have but the number of enemies. There is much to gain from the phrase “keep your friends close and enemies closer.”
- What are your thoughts on pie? Oh, pie is wonderful. I should have Robert bake an apple one soon. The twins haven’t had it yet. Though, maybe that’s not such a good idea. They’re very sensitive to sweets, and we need to avoid as many situations as possible that may produce tantrums!
- Favorite drink? I do enjoy a good simsmopolitan.
- What’s your favorite place? On the streets of Windenburg keeping the peace and getting to know the citizens.
- Are you interested in anyone? Outside of my husband? I do not think that is appropriate.
- That was a stupid question. A bit of advice? If you intend to continue in journalism, it would be wise of you to research a person before the interview to avoid these…not so smart and irrelevant questions.
- Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean? I’m quite sure it is illegal to swim in natural bodies of water in our area.
- What’s your type? My type? My type of what?
- Any fetishes? *blinks*
- Camping or indoors? The great outdoors has its charms, but indoors is where I like to be.
*blink
Ha ha!
Oh. My. Goodness. I’m dying! hahahaha This is just so…. Eliza! You know, she is one of my fav characters. lol
I just have one last thing to say….. “Bouquet residence, lady of the house speaking.” Bwaaahaaaaahaaaaahaaa Sorry. I just had to when you said Hyacinth Bucket was an inspiration. I can so see that.
GAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! 😀 I am so happy someone knows who Hyacinth Bucket is!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 My night is made!! 😀
LOL Yes, now leave your shoes on the mat outside and mind the wallpaper. LOL
LOL!!! She will not have anyone soiling her wallpaper! 😀
Haha! That’s right. I could quote her all daylong and into the night. One of my favorite shows. 😛 “Richard, mind the horse.” “It’s in the field.” hahaha Poor long suffering Richard. 😛 “It’s my sister Violet! She’s the one with the Mercedes, swimming pool, and room for a pony.” haha Sorry, I’ll stop now.
My favorites are, “Mind the pedestrian!” “It’s my sister Daisey! She’s NOT the one with the sauna, Mercedes, and room for a pony.” And, EVERY reference to her candlelight suppers LOL. Especially the ones with Riparian entertainment!!! (I’m dying!)
I’m dying, too! Rarely do I find anyone who can appreciate this the way I do. lol The Riparian Entertainments killed me, especially when everyone was carrying all the china and she kept making them trudge further and further on. LOLOL Oh and Daisy and Onslow – and their car! hahaha Remember when it was Onslow’s birthday and Hyacinth wanted to get him gold cuff links to impress Rose’s rich boyfriend? And Richard was like, “Cuff links? He never wears a shirt with sleeves!” LOLOLOL
BAHAHAHA!!! Oh! Oh! The one when Rose’s “friend” was supposed to get them a “big car??” LOL!!! The only people in America I know who knows this show are my parents and siblings lol. I’m so happy to know someone else!
Yes, that’s the one! Oh my goodness, you don’t know how happy this makes me, too. hahahaha This totally made my day! 😀
My day is doubly made! 😀 So, do you remember the second HOA meeting when Eliza went off on Bob because she was having a bad day? (and then later that week she learned she was pregnant LOL) I attempted a subtle Hyacinth quote, he he. Did you catch it? Before she went upstairs, she said something like, “Do put on a shirt, Robert.” LOL I’m gonna have to find more places for these things now. 😀
Yes! I definitely caught the vibe! I think that’s why I like Eliza so much. haha
Weeeeeee! I did it for my own amusement, of course, but I’m so glad someone out there got enjoyment from it. 😀
I definitely get enjoyment out of it. <3
😀
You certainly have given Eliza a lot of personality. I get why the girls leave her out when they go for drinks, LOL.
Tee hee hee, thank you.
