OC Tag: Axel Humphries

Axel, Axel, Axel. What can I say? He’s a bit of a loose cannon! I was a bit cautious about letting him do this interview, but I suppose it wouldn’t be fair to not have him be himself lol. Axel is an interesting character to me. He’s not a bad guy although he sometimes does bad things. Deep down inside, he is a good guy, but he’s definitely not a hero–at least not in the story. I could see him being an antihero somewhere else. He’s so loveable, and I think we all want the best for him. Although he gives us many laughs, his character is so tragic to me. If you can recall season one in the chapter called Daddy’s Girl, we learned about Blake. Young Axel warned Blake about the rules: no going in the pool without supervision. He was a good boy and concerned himself doing the right thing. I believe that good little boy is still buried inside him. His troubles, I believe, are a mere compilation of unfortunate circumstances, and he adapted the best way he could. At 40 years old, I’m sure he thinks it’s too late for him, but I say it’s never too late. Axel, everybody!

2. Do you know why you were named that? Beats me. I’d love to know though. Pops don’t really seem like an Axel kind of man.

7. Have you any family members? Yeah, I got people.
8. Oh, how about pets? I don’t need nobody to take care of except me.

10. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? Working out.
11. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? *gets misty-eyed* Yeah. I hurt my mama pretty bad.

13. What kind of animal are you? *smiles devilishly* You wanna know what kind of animal I am? I’m wild, baby. You could come by later and I’ll show you just how wild I can be. *winks*

16. Are you straight, gay or bisexual? Ain’t nothing gay about me. I’m straight as an arrow.
17. Do you go to school? School can’t do for me that I ain’t already done except eat up all my money.
18. Ever want to marry and have kids one day? That’s what mama wanted, but I don’t think that’s for me.

26. How many friends do you have? I don’t have real friends. Except maybe Averie…and Juliana. People will stab you in the back.
