Early Wednesday morning, the Joneses said reluctant goodbyes to Tim and Susie. They left just after Phoenix got on the school bus. While John was showering and preparing for work, Mary busied herself with the chores. They exchanged sad glances before he left. Mary moped around the house trying to find something else to keep herself occupied. Why does this house have to be so dang spotless!
When she realized she was still in her pajamas, she took a shower. She tried to hold it together, but it was difficult.
When she got out of the shower, she sat in the living room and tried not to think about the fact that her children had moved on. She wasn’t sad because they had left for she always wanted them to go and do great things. But, she missed them so much already. And it was so sudden. She didn’t have time to prepare.
She was too anxious at breakfast and didn’t eat. Her stomach reminded her of that around lunch. She went in the kitchen with the intent of eating something, but her excursion was cut short. She could no longer hold it in.
The flood gates were opening and she wouldn’t be able to close them. So, she ran to her room and let it all out.
Poor soul.
Come on, John. Offer some comfort to her.
Yeah. He’s on the naughty list right now.
Poor, Mary. This is so hard on her.
Yeah 🙁 Susie was pretty cold blooded about it.
Yes, she was. I hope someday they will make amends.
I hope so too. I’m quite sure they will…once she realizes how cruel the real world can be, he he. Maybe. We’ll see!
Poor Mary. 🙁
