J2G – Nico’s Interview

“Good evening! It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you Nico Battle, the grand prize winner of Crazy Brady’s Boot Camp! Thank you so much for joining me tonight, Nico. I am super excited to be talking with you.”

“The pleasure is all mine, I’m sure”

“Now… Before we jump into your head and talk about your experience… There is one thing everyone is dying to know!”

“Oh boy. I can’t imagine what that is,” he said sarcastically.

“What’s next for you? Where does the new Nico go from here?”

“Well… I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. It’s time for me to live for myself now.”

“I couldn’t agree more! Tell me, what does that mean for you?”

“I’ve been living for other people pretty much my whole life. Really, the only time I didn’t have to be concerned about someone else was when I was a kid. My parents got divorced when I was a teenager, and I lived with my dad for a while to help him out. Then I moved in with my mom and her husband when they had my little brother. Then she died and I had to help my step-dad with my brother. Then he died and I had to raise my little brother and make sure he did what he was supposed to with the legacy stuff. That was a full time job, I tell ya. By the time he finally got married and had a child, I was way past 40 and had no life and…well, you know…that’s when I came here. Anyway, while I was here, I learned that the world keeps going on without me. It’s nice to be there for people, but no one needs me, you know? Well, that’s not true. I needed me, and that’s what brought me here. So, I’ve decided not to return home. I’ve bought a little house right here in Oasis Springs! That Motherlode couldn’t have come at a better time, he he.”

“That is excellent news! And congrats! It’s so awesome to hear how things have already begun to get better for you. And, I’ve never heard you talk so much!”

“Yeah, I’m usually not a chatty guy, but sometimes I have a few things to say.”

“Well, I’m just glad you’re here with me and saying it on the J2G Network! So, tell me… What were your best and worst moments?”

Nico smiled and his cheeks turned a bit red. “Oddly enough, my best and worst moments happened in the same day within minutes of each other.”

“Oooh! Do tell!”

“My best moment was when I told Braylon that she was beautiful. Of course, it was nice to get that out, but it was more than that. I’ve never been a confident guy. I definitely haven’t had too many good experiences with women. So, to be able to tell her that without feeling weird about it was pretty epic.”

“I see. So, I’m guessing the next thing you’re going to say was your worst moment was when you feel off the treadmill in front of her?”

“You know it. So much for all that confidence, huh?”

“She seemed very sincere about making sure you were ok, so no cool points lost, right?”

“Yeah. She’s sweet like that.”

“I’m just gonna ask… Do you have plans to catch up with her and possibly pursue a relationship with her?”

“Well… Before she left, she said to keep in touch. So, I’m going to keep in touch. That’s all I can really say right now.”

“Awww. Would it be safe to say that you would like to pursue a relationship?”

“Sure. Everyone watching knows that. But, I’m going to be smart and let her give me cues. I don’t know how she feels about me, so I don’t want to project my feelings on her.”

“That’s very smart…and sweet! You’re a gentleman, Nico.”

“I try.”

“How do you feel now after winning the whole thing?”

“I feel like…me.”

“How do you mean?”

“Like, well, it’s like I said before. I’ve never had a chance to concentrate on myself before. Coming here has been like an opportunity to redefine myself. So, yeah…I feel like me.”

“That’s so powerful, Nico. I love that. I understand that you quit your job in the journalism career to be here. Do you have any plans of going back?”

“I don’t know yet. I’m still thinking about what I’d like to do in light of everything.”

“Absolutely. I’m sure now that you’re famous, you could have any job you wanted!”

“That’s a nice problem to have.”

“It sure is. Maybe I should create a position for you here at the network!”

“It would be my pleasure to work for you.”

“I’m only kidding, but I’ll remember that if an opportunity pops up. Well, I believe that is all the time we have tonight. Thank you again, Nico, for joining me.
