Hello, world! Is anyone still out there?? I hope you’re all healthy and thriving and all those good things. For most of you, it’s been two years since you last heard from me. I don’t know about you, but these pandemic years have flown by! Like, what in the world?? I guess that’s a good thing because it would be terrible to linger in the lockdown era. Anyway, I have been well and have gotten into so many things in the past two years like graphic design, photography (sorta), archery (not really, but I tried it once and loved it), and even began a journey toward a healthier lifestyle. Oh, yeah…it’s action packed over here lol. The fun never stops!
Okay, okay, I’ll get to the point as you’re all waiting patiently for what I have to say, especially from a post called Good Tidings. If anyone has been praying for Delicious Dishes & Dreams to return, your prayers have been answered! Let me tell you… I have tried so many times to get back into this story, as I told you previously, but the passion just wasn’t there. Now and then, I got small bursts of inspiration where I’d go into CAS and change everyone’s clothes, hoping being around the characters again would ignite something, only for it to amount to nothing. A month or so ago, I got the random inspo again and ran with it like I normally did. But something was different this time. I went back and read the last few chapters to familiarize myself again. I began to renovate Aubrey and Julio’s house because it wasn’t right (more on that later). I promised Maya that even if I don’t finish the story, I’m gonna get her and Ranveer married! And get this… I even wrote the next chapter! 😲 I know. I didn’t believe it either. So, I suppose I’m back for the time being!
Before you break out the champagne, let me explain how this is going to go. I planned this story to be very slow for a reason, but now I need it to be over as quickly as possible because I can’t put the same energy into this. The story is still exactly as I planned, so don’t worry about things changing or getting a half-baked ending. The major events are the same, but I changed how we get there in order to speed up the pacing dramatically; these are minor changes. Hopefully, when the action really starts, you won’t feel like things are happening just to happen. That is a risk I’m willing to take, however. Hopefully, it will make sense, and you will understand how we got there.
I’m not making any promises. I’m going to ride this inspiration wave for as long as it lasts. But I’m going to work on this story as I have time because I have other stories in progress. So, I’ll post the one chapter that is completed, but I have no idea when the next one is coming out. If you can be patient with me a little while longer, I’d love to have you on this last journey! But before we begin, I have things to share! I want to show you what I’ve done to the house and what everyone looks like and get you excited about what’s to come. Okay? Okay! Let’s do this thing!
Hey! Great to hear from you! Things are well over here! Looking forward to new chapters from you!
Hi, Cathy! Glad you are well.
Hi Jess! I’m so happy you’re going to finish the story. I’ve been thinking about rebooting one of my stories, so this is great inspiration. I cannot wait to see Aubrey & Julio’s house.
Heeeeey! Good to hear from you!
