Thank you so much, friends, for supporting us through this very difficult time in our family. We know that Giancarlo touched many lives, and we dare not end this service without give you all the opportunity to say goodbye! So…the floor is now open. Please sign the guest book and say a few words about our beloved Giancarlo before you go. Thank you for coming!

*Clears throat and pullls out a piece of paper*
I don’t know what to say. I’ve never really been good at thinking of ways to say goodbye. So I’ll just use a poem that I think is very fitting.
“I cannot say, and I will not say
That he is dead. He is just away.
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand,
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since he lingers there.
And you—oh you, who the wildest yearn
For an old-time step, and the glad return,
Think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here.
Think of him still as the same. I say,
He is not dead—he is just away.”
― James Whitcomb Riley
I love you Pruetts and Sheridans.
(Yeah I totally just copypasted from my post on the thread but it’s just too perfect not to use.)
I was hoping you would! 🙂 Thank you!
I apologize that my husband was not able to make it this evening.
He has been taking it pretty rough.
In Giancarlo he quickly found a friend, fellow artist, and inspiration.
Even though they had only met not to long ago, he felt as if the grew up together.
GNC will be remembered well.
Our condolences to BJ, the Sheridans, and the Pruetts.

This is all I can think about when I think about G and BJ and all of the love between the two of them. I know it’s a long song, but it’s worth every moment to take it in. <3
I didn’t know him but it’s still very sad. He definitely was a great Sim and he lived a long happy life from what I saw today. He had beautiful children that loved him and an awesome wife that loved him even more. He’ll be in their hearts forever
We appreciate you attending the service!
Have you listened to A played on a violin string?
It resonates through the air,
moving–what does it move?–
something unseen
until the movement passes
and stillness comes.
(If you have ever heard
a recording of Gould
you will hear him hum.
He doesn’t hum the notes
that are played.
He hums the overtones.
Play the piece yourself.
What do you hear?
His voice returns
in the notes not played.)
GNC, you played the moon
into the heavens.
Now, when the moon rises,
it is you we remember,
lifting it by its cast light,
caught upon your overtone.
😀
Giancarlo, you were a man with true super powers. I have great respect for you. As I wipe the tears from my eyes, I feel like sharing a song. It’s the only thing that is really coming to mind right now, even though it’s French. I feel like Bianca’s and Giancarlo’s Love Story was SO epic that this song is a melancholic fit for right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpFsu4VWwMw.
That was beautiful…whatever she was saying! lol, seriously though.
I know. It popped into my mind immediately as soon as I saw the invitations for the service.
Giancarlo, i never thought you were the stunning sim everyone said you were on the outside, but definitely on the inside!
What can I say Mr G…I will miss your underwear violin practice sprees, your witty jokes and your ability to make everyone swoon for you, but what I will miss most of all is your displays of true love and affection for Bianca. RIP you will be missed.
Yes! The true love and affection for my Bianca. 🙂
Giancarlo, your death will leave a whole in all of us who had the pleasure of knowing you. From the moment you entered Bianca’s life I will admit to being a bit worried for her at first. You were the dashing older man and could have been someone to break our girl’s heart. However you held her gently and gave her space time and constant love instead! You brought this beautiful young woman out of her shell and allowed her to bloom!
You had such a sense of humor and quick wit you quickly became one of my favorites!
Rest In Peace you will be missed.
Space, time, and constant love. I love that!
