Chapter 47: In Other News

Mom finally had her elder birthday! Women are so much stronger than men are emotionally. She’s not afraid of getting old or dying. I think she actually looks forward to it. As I’m writing this, she has approximately four days left to leave if the Grim Reaper comes right away. She has had four children, a good husband, a beautiful home, is near the top of her career, and now has four gorgeous granddaughters. She couldn’t ask for anything else!

Jayla and Jasmine come by the house quite often just to spend time with her and keep her spirits up.

Oh…so you probably caught that I said mom has four granddaughters. Maliyah and I had another baby! Her name is Bianca, and I am very proud to announce that we have our first BLONDE Pruett woman! Isn’t she just the cutest thing?

She is definitely going to be a beauty.

Maliyah and I have been arguing a lot lately about children. I’m learning now that there are tons of things we never talked about before we got married that we definitely should have. I know why dad was always so concerned now. First of all, she didn’t want to have children right away, and she definitely doesn’t want to keep having them. I told her that we were going to keep trying until we get a boy. She’s perfectly fine with our two girls and got really upset when I explained that girls cannot inherit. I hope I can get through to her soon. I can’t be the Pruett who failed the legacy!

As for me, I’m doing ok. I took Maliyah’s advice from when we were dating and started working out. Not because I have to, but because I want to. As I look back through the pictures of past generations, all the heirs were fat! Seeing as how this fifth generation is full of firsts, I want to add another first. I want to be the first heir who was not 300 pounds!

I have a long road ahead of me, but I figure if I start now in my adult years, by the time I’m an elder I should be good and ripped!
