One beautiful afternoon, Cadence quietly slipped away to enjoy the solitude of her garden. She wasn’t out there more than ten minutes when the chaos and mayhem from inside joined her. (sigh) Can I just get ONE hour alone, she thought. Brianna came outside in her typical whiny mood.
“Moooom, I’m boooored!”
“Go find something to do.”
“But I’ve done, like, EVERYTHING!”
“So what do you want me to do about it?”
“I dunno. Can you take us to the park or something?”
“I’m busy, Bri. You’re old enough to go by yourself, you know. Why don’t you and your sisters go?”
“I don’t want to go with them! I want to go with yoooou!”
“I can’t go right now, honey! Ask your father to go with you.”
Kacey, Carla, and Cameron came outside as well, and Kacey looked rather disgusted.
“Kacey…why are you looking at Brianna like that?”
“She’s been hogging the computer all day! I wanted to SIM (Sims Instant Messenger) with Alayna!”
“Why don’t you just go to Alayna’s house, or, invite her over here?”
“I don’t know! It’s just fun to SIM.”
Cameron and Carla were discussing something among themselves, and Cadence was glad that someone in this house knew how to entertain themselves. Meanwhile, Brianna was still standing there.
“What is it now?”
“I want some pancakes.”
“It’s three in the afternoon, Bri. Why don’t you have a grilled cheese sandwich or something?”
“But I want pancakes noooow!”
“Then make some!”
“I don’t know how!”
“Gosh, Brianna!! You’re almost an adult! Learn to cook! Learn to do EVERYTHING! Have you noticed how old we are lately?! We’re not going to be around forever! What are you going to do when we’re gone, huh? How are you going to take care of your sisters? You’re acting like a spoiled brat! Stop whining about everything and start figuring things out for yourself!”
Hmph. No love from the grumpy old people! *stomps off to Brianna fan club HQ*
LOL, still a fan, eh? At least she’s got one member! :-p
I think she’s kind of magical. Very curious and impulsive, with an offbeat way of seeing things.
Magical? lol
*shrug* Idk, I’m weird. You know this by now, lol.
lol, you’re, ummm…you’re magical! LOL!!
Haha, hey now – when I said magical I meant magical! ;D
lol
lol I like her too, but not so much in this chapter. I can totally relate to Cadence. She loves her kids, but they are driving her insane at the moment. I did always think Brianna was super cute when she was a kid, but Cadence does have about it being time for her to mature just a bit.
She just wants an hour of peace, and the poor child just wants pancakes…and her attention…all the time LOL.
Wow! Brianna’s quite annoying. Hopefully she’ll outgrow that kind of whiny behaviour. LOL.
Hopefully!
Yeah, so….go learn to cook. I have 4 teens in my house and they’re all cooking. Geez. Also? Geez. Heh.
LOL, for realz. I think Cadence has just figured out that she has been too nice and not firm enough with her lol.
She should have told her what my mom told me when I’d whine. “You grown, cook your own pancakes.”
Then if I didn’t want to, she’d tell me to starve. I’ve been making my own pancakes ever since.
Yep! LOL me too!
Goodness, Brianna was so goodlooking as a kid and now that? Why is she so annoying, that spoiled little brat? 😛 Poor Cadence goes through all the problems teenager daughters bring with them
Yeah, poor Cadence lol. She was such a nice person. Why was she cursed with spoiled brats? 😀
