Hey folks!

Before Delicious Dishes & Dreams starts up again tomorrow (WEEEEEE!), I thought I should recap what’s happened in the last few chapters. Has anyone else realized it has been a whole year since the last chapter?! A YEAR! 365 days!! UGH! I hate that I did that, but it was so necessary. I never stopped working on it, however, so we’ve got tons of chapters to get us started! Ok, without further ado, here is what happened in recent news.

Jonathan and Skyla disagree about Oliver’s birthday party. She wants to have a huge party, but Jonathan thinks they should save money for the girls’ weddings and have a big party when Oliver is old enough to remember.

Aubrey hires her friend Keegan despite Jonathan’s advice to not hire friends. Julio knows he had a crush on her but trusts Aubrey’s judgement.

Aubrey’s employee’s kinda suck. She needs to confront Malakai about his absences and long breaks and Aleah about her attitude but doesn’t want to hurt their feelings. Wilson is great, but she just gets tired of hearing him gushing about her dad.

Ranveer had dinner with the Pruetts for the first time. Everyone loved him as Maya and Aubrey expected.

Aubrey and Julio had a deep conversation, and he dug up some serious feelings and accidentally suggested he’s ready to marry her. She was excited about getting engaged, of course, but he didn’t mean for it to happen that way. He wants to wait until he has a ring and asks for Jonathan’s blessing before announcing their engagement.

The Pruetts say goodbye to the Pruett Estate. The plans for the memorial park are underway, and construction is just around the corner.

Here are some fun facts! I can’t help but think of my characters’ ages in terms of human years. I can’t keep the Sim days straight in my head especially because I use a custom life span on long life. I use the life meter as a visual cue, but as you can imagine, they age much quicker than we do. At this point in this story, here are their approximate ages:

Jonathan: 52

Skyla: 49

Maya: 27

Aubrey: 21

Oliver: 3

Ranveer: 24

Julio: 23

Also, here is a tip for all the new people are just joining the fun. This is not a legacy story, but it’s told in a legacy style where the focus is on one person then shifts to another. The focus has been on Jonathan up until now, but with him handing over the reigns to Aubrey, the focus is shifting to her now. The chapters are told from the point of view of 1 of 4 characters: Jonathan, Skyla, Maya, and Aubrey. In the future we may here from Ranveer and Julio, but not much.

I really appreciate you guys taking time to respond to my survey! As far as the chapter release schedule goes, I will reduce it from 3 to 2. That will be very comfortable for me and less stressful for many of you. I will keep Sundays and Thursdays as my days.
